I first got into filmmaking when I signed up for the Video Productions class my junior year of high school. My senior year the state gave a considerable grant to the class because of the high quality of work we had done the year before. With this grant we were able to upgrade our analog equipment to all digital cameras and editing. I spent two and a half years at the University of California, Santa Barbara as a film studies major and took many classes on film history and theory. I finished up my degree at UC Santa Cruz as a Film Production major and graduated with a strong collection of work. Since then I have continued to work on films of my own including a documentary about the Children’s Circus and Performing Arts Camp I work for and a piece about the after school program at Coronado Elementary in Richmond, CA where I worked in 2005/2006.
