| Urban VOICE is a video
production group of independent filmmakers, artists, writers and concerned
global citizens taking ideas on social justice issues and creating
workable video projects that inform and empower its participants and
viewers to take action for the common good. Our two focuses are the
remarkable stories of everyday people in the context of historical
events and personal stories in the context of social justice issues.
VOICE is an acronym for Video Oratories Inspiring Common Equalities.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working out of Emeryville,
CA along the east side of the San Francisco Bay.

Fundraising
Fortunately for us at Urban VOICE, the work we are engaged in is
the passion of our lives. Unfortunately, passion doesn’t pay
the bills. Fortunately, our filmmakers work as volunteers in the
production of our projects, but unfortunately, our equipment, supplies
and rent are the costs of reality. We go after grants, provide professional
services, beg for donations and put on events that are relevant,
informative and just plain fun.
Urban VOICE is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit organization and your donations
are tax deductible. We hope you see the importance of digital video
as an educational tool, an impetus for social good and remember
us when you’re feeling generous. If you’d like to be
on our list for upcoming events at local restaurants and other venues,
please drop us a line with your email address at info@urbanvoice.org.
Donations should be made out to Urban VOICE.
